This compact snap on reader integrates an OCR-B swipe reader for the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of a passport with a contactless RFID reader to communicate with the embedded chip in ePassports. Functional with all variants of the Motorola MC70/75/75A, the reader can be used to provide an electronically generated passenger manifest.
The small snap on device can be semi permanently attached to the Motorola MC70/75/75A whilst retaining compatibility with single slot charge cradles.
The contactless smartcard reader provides the ability to read and write to a wide variety of transponders at 13.56MHz compliant to ISO 15693, ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B and HID iClass®
